Customer Reviews JJinNM Said: Great ski pants for the price ( May. 3rd 2009 )I bought these as a backup for longer trips where my primary ski pants are goretex northface. I like the fit and feel of these alot so I ended up wearing them for daytrips this year. Conditions were pretty mellow this year so didn't really need the goretex. Great ski pants for the price.D. JENKINS Said: Columbia Rocks!!! ( Apr. 1st 2009 )Can't go wrong with Columbia! Great quality and performs well!! Very nice looking, my husband LOVES them!! Fast delivery!Brian Healy Said: Good Value ( Jan. 26th 2009 )These ski pants/snow pants are nice quality for what I paid (roughly $60). They are pretty much no-frills, basic pants. They repel the wetness of snow and have gaiters in the legs to keep the snow out of your boots. I like the cargo-style pocket also. This was a good buy for me since these pants do the job and didn't cost me too much.P.H. Said: Great pants for playing in the snow. ( Jan. 12th 2009 )I go to college up in Houghton, Michigan, where we get an average of 240 inches of snow a year, so I was looking for a good pair of snow pants to use while skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, and any other winter activities. These pants were a little more money than I was initially planning on spending, but they're worth it. ([...]). First off, they look pretty snazzy. If it weren't for the "whooshing" sound they make when you walk in them, they'd be fine for just wearing as normal pants. They also fit very comfortably. I wear a size 30 and ordered the medium pants. They're a bit big, but the waist itself is slightly adjustable and they pants have belt loops, so they work just fine. The pants have plenty of pockets, which is great if you want to bring a few things along with you (when I've used these, I was able to take my keys, wallet, flashlight, cell phone, and camera with plenty of room to spare). The pockets are virtually waterproof, as the front ones are zippered, and the zippers are covered by a flap of the same waterproof material the outer shell of the pants are made out of. The back pockets have a flap that goes over them and closes with Velcro. This works nicely though, my wallet wasn't even damp when I finished my trot through 3 feet of snow. The pants are lightly insulated. Granted I've always been moving around while wearing these, they kept me nice and warm the whole time I was outside, even when I was hip-deep in snow. The waterproofing on these pants is amazing. I went snowshoeing with these on and stayed perfectly dry. Not only was I dry, but after brushing off the snow, the pants were nearly dry themselves! I'm pretty confident that these will keep you more than dry enough for any winter activity. There's only one problem I've had with these pants so far. As I mentioned early I went wading out into hip-deep snow. When I did this I did manage to fill my boots with snow, despite the gaiters on these pants. I can't honestly say it's the pants' fault though. My boots only go up to just above the ankle, and the pants were pushed up by the snow as I put my feet down. Overall, I was a little leary about the cost, even with the lower price I got on a different site, but I am extremely satisfied with how these pants perform. They're well worth the money, and I am very happy with the purchase. I don't think you can really go wrong with these!« Back |
